A World Larger Than the Story Has Seen
The Cheesecake Chronicles begins in Pastrypolis, capital of Crustara, but the story belongs to a much wider world. The known lands of Viandria already include four distinct nations, each shaped by its own geography, cities, traditions, and relationship with its neighbors.
The maps and lore here represent the world as currently established. Viandria continues beyond the eastern edge of the known map, where future lands remain intentionally undefined until the story reaches them.
Known Lands of Viandria
Crustara sits at the heart of the current Chronicles, bordered by Varkos to the northwest, Valdrenne to the northeast, and Sablonne beyond the Salt Line to the south.

Crustara
The central nation of the current Chronicles and home of Pastrypolis. Crustara stretches from the Chantilly coast through western forest and river country, the Pastrypolis valley, the Glazebite Mountains, southern farmland, and the eastern prairie frontier.
Major cities: Pastrypolis, Savarin, Saporia, Qualden, and Crispen.
Valdrenne
A northern lake-and-forest nation built around connection: mountains feed lakes, lakes feed rivers, and an extensive network of locks, canals, roads, ports, and passes ties the country together.
Principal cities: Caldrienne, Bastrel, Drossen, and Veyrholm.
Varkos
A compact northwestern nation shaped by rivers, mountains, difficult coasts, and a culture that prizes preparation, resilience, civic competence, and systems tested under pressure.
National centers: Tharos, Korrin, Drevan, and the ancient Games site of Arkos.
Sablonne
A warm southern nation of savanna, riverlands, highlands, trade roads, and seasonal water. Its communities are shaped by practical adaptation, hospitality, commerce, and the changing demands of the land.
Major places: Demerra, Marava, Talara, Serenne, and Ripplegate along the Salt Line.
Pastrypolis: Where the Chronicles Begin
At the center of Crustara sits Pastrypolis, the capital and largest city—the civic, cultural, governmental, and economic heart of the nation. It is where the current story begins, where Cheesecake Emergency Services operates, and where old foundations beneath a living city are beginning to matter again.
Beyond the Known Map
Viandria continues east beyond the lands currently shown. Those regions have not yet been fully realized in canon, leaving room for the world to expand naturally as the Chronicles move beyond the nations already established.
