About The Cheesecake Chronicles

A storybook world of dessert heroes, strange mysteries, old histories, and the people who keep showing up when something goes wrong.

What Is The Cheesecake Chronicles?

The Cheesecake Chronicles is an illustrated fantasy adventure set in Viandria, a world built by dessert people. Its characters may be cheesecakes, donuts, pies, cupcakes, pastries, and other desserts, but the world around them is meant to feel lived-in, sincere, and believable on its own terms.

The story begins in Pastrypolis, the capital of Crustara, and follows characters whose lives begin to intersect as strange disturbances emerge beneath the city. At the center of that growing mystery is Cheesecake Emergency Services: a rescue organization built around preparation, teamwork, and helping people when ordinary problems become extraordinary ones.

Why Cheesecake Emergency Services?

CES is one of the foundations of the series because emergencies reveal character quickly. A collapse, a rescue, an unexplained signal, or a problem no one prepared for can show who stays calm, who improvises, who protects others, and who keeps going.

The organization is not built around spectacle for its own sake. At its best, CES represents competence, care, preparation, and the idea that heroism can look like knowing what to do before somebody needs you.

A World Built to Feel Real

The visual language of the Chronicles is storybook-inspired: warm, painterly, handcrafted, adventurous, and optimistic. Characters are desserts first and people second. Cities and landscapes are not giant food jokes; they are places built by dessert people with their own architecture, tools, roads, institutions, traditions, and history.

That same principle guides Viandria itself. Pastrypolis may be where the story begins, but Crustara, Valdrenne, Varkos, Sablonne, and the lands still waiting beyond the known map are meant to grow into a world much larger than any one chapter.

From Chapters to Illustrated Books

The Chronicles are being developed as both a continuing story and an illustrated world. Chapters are written first, then supported with character art, environment art, maps, and scene illustrations that belong to the same visual language.

The long-term goal is to bring those pieces together in physical illustrated books while continuing to expand the world online. Artwork from the series may also become prints and other products as the collection grows.

About the Creators

Written by G.P. Torte
Illustrated by G.B. Swirl

G.P. Torte is the creator and author behind The Cheesecake Chronicles and the world of Cheesecake Emergency Services. G.B. Swirl is the illustrator identity behind the project’s visual development, helping bring its characters, cities, maps, and storybook world to life.

The project grew from a simple dessert-themed idea into a much larger illustrated universe: a cast of recurring characters, a functioning emergency service, nations with their own histories and geography, and an expanding story centered on courage, resilience, friendship, responsibility, and what people choose to do when the pressure arrives.

The world is still growing, one chapter, map, character, and illustration at a time.
