CITY OF SABLONNE

Marava

Sablonne’s largest city and principal seaport, standing along the protected estuary of the Great River where inland freight meets the ocean.

Where the River Meets the Sea

Marava’s sheltered estuary gives it protected anchorage, ocean access, river freight, fisheries, floodplain agriculture, and coastal trade routes.

It grew through shipping, harbor engineering, river transport, immigration, manufacturing, shipbuilding, and a food supply diversified by sea, river, agriculture, and imports.

An Outward-Facing City

Marava represents Sablonne facing the wider world. Foreign trade, maritime markets, shipyards, visitors, and coastal commerce are ordinary parts of city life.

It surpassed Demerra in population as maritime trade expanded, but remains part of the same upper tier of great Sablonnese cities.
