Demerra — Capital of Sablonne

Capital of the Interior

Demerra grew where dependable water, slightly elevated ground, and converging caravan routes met. It became a major inland center long before national government consolidated there.

Today it remains one of Sablonne’s three great cities and the seat of the Crown, First Minister, legislature, major courts, and central administration.

Water, Shade & Civic Life

Demerra’s streets and neighborhoods emphasize shaded avenues, courtyards, public gardens, broad roofs, deep verandas, covered walkways, and climate-conscious design.

Reservoirs, cisterns, wells, storm channels, overflow basins, irrigation, and emergency reserves are defining civic features. Demerra is Sablonne looking inward toward itself.
